WOW!!!

Hello, Everyone:
Wow, what a weekend. We can’t say THANK YOU enough to everyone that came out this weekend. I don’t ever recall having Kermit Lane that busy. It was a humbling experience to see all of you that came out to help us support the Food Bank of Central New York. Thanks again to everyone, and we hope you will join us again for another great night.

Next week…don’t forget, we’ll be dark on Saturday due to work commitments, but we’ll be back in action again on Friday with shows at the regular time, 6, 7 and 8 PM, and Sunday, 6 and 7 PM. Also, remember that if the weather is sketchy, check Facebook (Koehler Family Christmas), Twitter (@koehlerfamxmas), or koehlerfamilychristmas.com first to be sure we’ll be up and running.

Finally…ICYMI…”Christmas Classics” night will be Saturday, December 23, for all shows, 6, 7 and 8 PM. Finally…our Christmas Eve Extravaganza will be Sunday, December 24, at 7 PM. It’ll feature a nice long show of your favorite Christmas music and lights, along with a visit from your friend and ours, SANTA CLAUS!!

Have a great week, everyone. Thanks again for making this weekend a very special one for all of us, and doing great stuff for the Food Bank of CNY!!

Another Great Weekend!!

Hello everyone:
It’s been another great weekend here at KFC. I’d like to thank everyone who stopped and watched and contributed to the Food Bank of Central New York. The SUPERMOON was amazing tonight, if you didn’t see it, it truly was a sight to behold.

Don’t forget, we’ll be up and running next Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the usual times. Also, one of the best nights of the year (in my professional opinion) happens next Saturday with our annual Trans-Siberian Orchestra night. All 3 shows will feature the amazing works of TSO!!

Finally, we’ve settled on December 23 as our CLASSIC CHRISTMAS night. Enjoy the classic works of Christmas music that you grew up with, all set to an amazing light show. All 3 shows on Classics Night will drive you down memory lane again! And…our “crown jewel” of the season, of course, is our magnificent Christmas Eve Show. One show on Sunday, December 24, that will feature an extra long musical program that will include a visit by the most famous Christmas Elf ever, Santa Claus!! Special goodies too! Festivities on Christmas Eve start at 7:00 PM.

So…have a great week. And thank you again for your support of our work to help the Food Bank of Central New York!!

TSO Night 2017!!!

Hello folks. Happy hump day. In case anyone was wondering, TRANS-SIBERIAN ORCHESTRA NIGHT this year will be on Saturday, December 9, for all shows (6, 7 and 8 PM). In case you’re wondering who they are, here’s a little taste of what you’ll be getting:

Have a great rest of the week!!

Dark Days (so far)

Good Evening Everyone:

First and foremost, from our family to yours, Happy Thanksgiving!! Hopefully everyone is able to get some rest and some quality time with their families.

Next, our preliminary list of dark days. These are days that the display will be dark, due to some commitments that we cannot wiggle out of.
So far, it’s just November 26 and December 16.

Remember, though, that chances are that the weather here in CNY will not always be cooperative with our plans. Stay tuned here, on our Facebook page (Koehler Family Christmas) and on our Twitter feed ( @koehlerfamxmas) for latest info when the weather is in doubt.

We’ve been running the display as an “animated” display so far this week (moving and blinking but not synchronized to music) and will continue to do so.

We are on track for our big Opening Night Extravaganza on Friday, with shows at 6, 7 and 8 PM. We appreciate your continued support. Remember, everything we do supports the Food Bank of Central New York.

Hope to see you at our display soon!!

Halloween Sneek Peek!!

Hi, Everyone:

Well, we were all LIT UP for Halloween with out annual SNEEK PEEK!! It went very well, and we had a TON of kids and families come by for trick-or-treat. We were as bright as the sun and the weather finally cooperated. The really cool thing is that, for the first time ever, there were people that stopped by with donations for the Food Bank of Central New York!! It was an amazing experience, and we were glad that we could make it happen. Thanks to all who stopped by!!

Now that that’s over, we are back at work getting everything ready for our light-up on Black Friday, November 24, at 6:00 PM. We have more pixels to put up, more songs to sequence, and there’s candy to pack up 😉

Thanks to everyone who stopped by and made our Sneek Peek a success!!

2017 IS HERE!!

Hello Everyone:

Welcome back to our site, koehlerfamilychristmas.com!!

It’s been a long wait, but we’re finally back for the 2017 season!! We will be up and mostly running for the annual Halloween Sneek Peek on Tuesday, October 31 at dusk.

We open for the 2017 season on Black Friday, November 24, with 3 shows on Fridays and Saturdays, at 6, 7 and 8 PM. Sundays we will have 2 shows, at 6 and 7 PM. Shows once again will last about 20-25 minutes and the lights will be running constantly between shows as well.

As you know, being in Central New York, we have weather and schedule conflicts. For your safety as well as ours, we cannot run the display in bad weather. The best way to check and make sure we’re “lit” before you come by is to either check here, follow us on Twitter @koehlerfamxmas and to like us on Facebook, Koehler Family Christmas.

During the week, feel free to drop by, as the display will be running in an “animation” mode and we’ll have Christmas music running in our radio station, which you can tune into at FM 90.7 MHZ. The lights won’t be synchronized, but it’s still pretty cool to see.

We’ll also have special themed nights, like a TransSiberian Orchestra night and a classic Christmas night. Details will be forthcoming. We’ll also post some pictures soon of the setup for this year, so you can watch our progress.

As always, thank you everyone for your support of Koehler Family Christmas, and the Food Bank of Central New York!!

Well be dark for 2016, but….

Hello Everyone:

After much thought, we’ve decided to take one more year off. Don’t think that we are just sitting around, though. We’re already working on the software and hardware for next year’s show. Trust us when we tell you, it’ll be something to behold. In the meantime, please do what you can about supporting the Food Bank of Central New York. They do a lot for our community (a very large swath of New York, actually) and especially at this time of the year, they really need our help. Thank you again, and we will start giving you status updates after the New Year. From all of us, to all of you, HAVE A RESTFUL AND JOYOUS HOLIDAY SEASON!!!

Koehler Family Christmas.
